Endowments defined here are restricted funds designed to keep the principal corpus intact so it can grow over time, but allow the chapter/council to use the annual investment income for programs, or operations, or purposes specified by the donor(s) to the endowment.

Chapters and councils are required to notify Trout Unlimited of any requested or proposed legal action and must receive express permission from the national Board of Trustees prior to engaging in legal action or litigation, or signing on to the litigation or legal action of another organization.
